"Stupid, unreliable vampire" A continuation of reading in the midst of Hype

     Well, I have now finished the 8th chapter of Twilight and I'm still having trouble dredging on. I concluded that these chapters 1-8 could probably have been compacted into two smaller, tidy chapters. Its really all over the place. Don't get me wrong, I'm following, but it's kind of hard not to.

Here's the thing you have to accept about Twilight right away or you're never going to enjoy it at all: It's not literature. It's a simplistic story written by a stay at home mom at night when her kids went to bed to amuse her. She decided to try and sell it after people who read it liked it ~ and she thought she'd get enough money to pay off her van. then it exploded.

To enjoy it you have to embrace your inner 15 year old girl and go from there. If you do that you'll love it. If you try to give it any credibility or use any sort of literary criticism... seriously, you'll throw it across the room. You just gotta reach into your inner 15 year old and love either Edward or Jacob, lol.

Oh, absolutely you must embrace your inner 15 year old girl. I have trouble sometimes separating how my mind reads certain things. I also think its interesting to read things through a different lens, even if they weren't meant to be read that way. It gives you something to talk about. I still got a lot to read too.. so hopefully i'll start feeling giddy towards one of the guys!!!

I got giddy about Edward because he's an asshole. I don't think she means for him to be an asshole, but he's a total asshole! LOL. Actually, I like the second book the best.
