Beowulf and Grendel will open theatrically in Canada on 10 March. The dvd release is slated for August.

I know what you mean, its never as good as on the big screen, i felt that way when i watched poto on dvd, i bought a multi-region dvd player today so i can buy it when it comes out, doubt very much if it will get a dvd release in the UK

I am VERY disappointed by this news. I have been searching for a while just to see if they would change the information and decide to release the film in the US. I live in NYC, and there are many small and foreign films shown here. They will not even release this film in a small independent theater in this city. It really makes me angry. I think Gerry fans should campaign for a wide release before the DVD release in August.
