And Ewan McGregor was passed over because he is too short. Arggh. But really, the best person, IMHO, would be Adrian Paul, who played Duncan McLeod on the Highlander TV series. He looks like he could be Sean Connery's son! And we know he can act, too.
:) This new guy, though, he looks soft and baby-faced. Bond should be tough, lean, and have sharp or rugged features--it says so in the books. ;) And everyone else who has ever played Bond in the movies does have those type of distinct features. This guy looks like he could be anyone. :(
