It's amazing how, one day everyone can be going on about... uh... female... body parts... and one day people can be talking about morals and choices, and going home.

Whatever happens, I just hope there's a way for everyone to get what they want- whether it's a way home, or a life here. There's no reason why we have to fight each other in order for ( Read more... )

I think going against people with similar goals would be counterproductive.

Exactly. There has to be a way for all of us to work together.

As much as I hate to admit it I doubt we'll get much done otherwise.

I'm sure there are going to be idiots who think otherwise though.

It's probably not going to be easy, whether we agree or not. There's so many of us here.

That would be the best case scenario. But if there are those that are out to get a fight, one would most likely happen.

It seems like people are convinced that either we all leave or we all stay. That there's no middle ground, and they're willing to fight for whatever they want to happen.

I guess it's because no one knows yet what really will happen. Even the possibility of any of us getting out is still in theory from what I can tell.

As far as I'm concerned, they got us in, so there's got to be a way out.

The issue is that it is very possible that there would be the need to fight each other. Usually, the only way to break a gameboard like this one is to shatter it whole, which will inevitably result in enough chaos that those who wish things to remain as they are will resist it.

Maybe we are lucky and this will not be required, though. It'd be the first gameboard setup like this I'd encounter, though.

I'm sorry... "gameboard"?

Where I am from, situations like the one we find ourselves in are usually games played by witches, using human pieces as pawns. The part of the world they take place in are considered the game board.

In the current case, there seems to be no witch as such, as far as we can see, but certainly there are powerful entities playing with the inhabitants. Thus, one can liken the city to a gameboard as well.

That's... well, that's twisted. People shouldn't be played with like that.

I'm sure people will be trying to come up with a strategy that won't harm anyone... It may not be possible, but some will try.

As for the nails, I'm free and clear of drone charges today, so we can meet anywhere you find convenient.

I'm going to try.

... It doesn't matter to me. The park, maybe? [ he just likes looking at the trees, ssh. ]

Good luck with that. If you need any tactical insight, I'll offer it in return for the nails. And any monetary compensation, of course.

The park is ideal, actually. I've been needing to leave this damned house. Six o'clock would be good for me.

... I guess we can discuss tactics and payment once you get your nails. I'll see you at six.

People had better not be starting a fucking fight over this shit. How completely stupid. If someone wants to stay, let them; do whatever you want for all I care.

What about you, Margot? Do you want to go home?

No. Not really.

... Why not? If you don't mind my asking, that is.
