So. When someone disappears from here, they return to their old life with no memories of Elegante. To leave is to die.

This isn't all that different from my old job.

..No. A girl, Niamh, she disappeared some time before I arrived here. Around a month later, she came back... and had all of her memories.

Maybe it only affects certain people?

People disappear occasionally. More rarely, they come back. I haven't any idea as to the mechanism.

March 20th is the Spring Equinox most years. Who knows if we're even somewhere that means something?
