'This is ridiculous,' he says, gritting his teeth. He's been on edge the whole time, this new ordeal setting him one wrong comment away from launching himself at the wall until he feels like he has done something to get himself away.

He's fuming now, he's mad at the house and the room that made him act like an idiot; how did it do that, anyway, he's worked himself up.
