It took me until way into the fic before I went all, "Oh! Oh, I know this story!" Lol, slow. But it was a good take on it, especially with Koyama being all shrewd and surprisingly brutal (in a "survival of the fittest" kind of way).

And late that night when the kitten wriggled its way under Shige's shirt to cuddle close to his heart, he couldn't mind the way it made his sinuses tighten.
Aww, I thought that was cute. The allergy plays a part, but it's subtle and not enough to stop the two from becoming friends. ♥ And I loved the descriptions of Koyama in human and cat form.

As an outsider, I couldn't figure out how the exchange worked at all, so I enjoyed it as a separate story. <3

gah. KoyaShige are so adorable together. It's kind of ridiculous.

Yeah it can be pretty confusing. Basically this was first story in a chain of remixes. 1 was remixed into 2 which was remixed into 3, all the way down the line, with each new author only getting to read the fic they would be remixing. So Author 3 did not read version 1, only version 2, and remixed that. Does that help at all?

Yeah, I love the pairing too and I'm happy they're still very popular. Actually, long story but a while ago I got recced to one of your older fics and yeah... spam ahead.

Yeah, now I definitely do. I kind of had that idea because I saw the fern/puss in boots thing come back multiple times, but I wasn't sure, haha.
