coming up for air

man, the last two weeks have really flown by. perhaps that's a side effect of getting too little sleep. i've completely gone underwater with almost everything, so if you're someone who depends on me for something i apologize in advance. i seem to be getting a little bit done of everything, and having an inability to focus on any one thing for any ( Read more... )

One of the things that helped Keri when Sam was born was hiring a housecleaner. Not an every week thing, but once every two weeks, or even month if you're so inclined.

Literally, for that $125-$150 per cleaning, it takes *so* much off of her mind, and lets her focus just a little bit more.

Just a suggestion - don't go with the Merry Maids, etc.. Get a referral from a friend at work, and try them out, and go from there. You'll get a lot better quality.

Love and hugs to all

Aww, thanks for the update, Misty. {{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}} and good thoughts to you. I don't know what to say other than to try not to stress too much about stuff being out of place. I know that's not gonna happen though!! Off to see the pics of Alex. :)

I know how you feel. I am sort of in the same place again. It really goes in fits and spurts.

It is SO hard to manage it all. You'll get there but holy moly just working and taking care of Alex is enough work for 2 people, never mind all the rest of this life crap! I think it took me at least 3/4 months getting back to work to figure it all out.

And oh my god I just saw the pictures from this weekend...he's way too cute for words. I love his little smile. It must have been taken after the sox beat the yankees in the first 2 games. He's got a true sox fan grin :) xoxo

I will have to echo Mark on the cleaning lady. I hired one a couple months before Ricky arrived and I have to say, there is nothing like coming home to a nice clean house. I believe that fresh sheets on the bed are highly underrated. Yeah, we still pick up and do the normal stuff, but she mops and cleans the ceiling fans and most important - cleans the bathrooms!!! She is worth her weight in gold for cleaning Rick's bathroom alone! It's hard to get to doing what you WANT to do when you get distracted by the stuff you HAVE to do.

My gal is only $75/2 wks.

I'm sure you are doing an amazing job!
