let's just say that baby is rather comfortable. :P we scheduled a non-stress test for saturday, and they put in my induction paperwork in case i need it. our hope is that i will not. my mother did have to be induced though, after being 12 days late. here's to hoping history does not repeat. :)

Wow, those gloves are amazing! You really DO know how to knit and not just blankets, scarves or hats. :D

And I was 12 days overdue. I think she would have the 14 if I had waited until that Saturday to induce.

haha - did you have doubts? think i could only do two stitches! :) i've got an extensive finished object collection! haha :) most of the stuff i do is easy though, since i knit so much in the car.

12 days. oy. was it really that long?! :)

thank you for your awesome words! it's always good to hear such inspiration (even the vomit stories!) from current moms. i look up to all of you who've already done this. :)

it is so good to hear from you :)

You know how some things stick in your mind for no particularly good reason? When I was little, my mom worked at a family planning clinic, and she had a copy of "Our Bodies, Ourselves", which of course I read surreptitiously. One thing I totally remember from that was in the chapter on childbirth, and they had a quote from a nurse who said that some of the best labor-inducers were "pizza, beer, and orgasms". FWIW.

(Is that drive-by advice? I'll go away now. One of my other friends went in to be induced today and so far, no progress. Babies are not wanting to be born on the 17th, apparently.)

haha - i will try those, except for the beer. i'm still not keen on the drinking, even just one. not that it's bad for others, just something for me :) the other two will just have to make up for it :)

I absolutely love blanket! Is there a batting in there, or just the knitted side and then the backing?
