and by goodness i mean HOLY CRAP OUR SEATS ARE IN THE CLOUDS. :P at nascar events, closer is not better. closer means you see less of the track. further and higher is where the awesome seats are. and let me tell you - we had the most awesome seats in the house :) chris mentioned that they were like 225 feet in the air - it felt every last one of ( Read more... )

Also, too close results in hearing loss. :)

and by too close, you must mean anywhere in the general location :P to not wear ear protection anywhere in that raceway is a recipe for hearing loss. :P

Fair enough. :D I've only been to one NASCAR event, helping a friend in college man a credit card tent at Watkins Glen. Man, those cars are loud! (We were able to get as close as the stairs to the bridges over the track--pretty good view, too.)

Glad you had fun, Misty! Bill and I will be camping at Loudon this weekend.. Woohoo! :) We have high up seats as well and I love it.

we did have fun - i both wished we had camped and am glad we didn't, it was SO HOT :P

i looked at the pictures of loudon - we had high seats last year, but these this year... imagine another full set of grandstands on TOP of the current ones. :P we were at the top of that. it was ludicrous. :P
