One of the cats I grew up with is about 15 now, and her weight has always fluctuated. One year she'd be fat as ten pounds of poo in a five-pound bag, the next year she'd be this svelte little sexycat.
Last year she got very, very little and skinny to the point where she was 5 pounds and a few ounces. She's a small-frame, small-boned cat as it is, but the vet warned my parents not to let her get under 5 pounds, or then there might be problems and risks.
So, yeah, you're probably wise to be nervous about getting her fixed if she's so eensy. Ask your vet about it.

electricia, you oughta ask your vet to be sure, but I'm pretty sure cats get bigger after getting fixed a LOT more often than they get smaller. Maybe also try giving them wet food a lot, but giving Moxie most of it and Marvel just a little? You might need to hold/play with him after he scarfs his up to keep him out of hers.
