Those who know me know that I like words. I like words an inordinate amount. I don't often use them, since I'm very out of practice because I teach preteens, and their vocabulary is regularly interspersed with "like, um, mm-kay?" and they expect that's a sentence that makes any sort of sense. My thought is no, don't go. Instead find times to actually visit the schools you're thinking about, and sit in on classes. You're welcome at mine. As frustrating and unorganzied a program as it is, I won't deny the connections it provides, and the oppertunities.

I agree with Losyark. YOu don't need that fair. Fairs like that don't help you pic the school most suited to you at all in the end; they just awk out their own prorams. WHat you need to do, what I did, was do some really extensive research using the actual university websites. And don't just look in Ontario unless you WANT to stay in ontario. YOU have to think of THAT, and of what exacly you want to study, what KIND of MA you want (THesis, Creative or Research project) and then start by visiting website...narrow down your choices from there ( ... )

Okay.....aware that I wasn't exactly coherent for that last comment, but here:

This was MY starting point. If you need a list of the most prestigeous too, I can do that. There are eight...which helps to narrow things down, but that's not necessarily how YOU wnat to pick...Remember that in the end I dumped U of T to go to Guelph BECAUSE it was a better program, so how big or prestigeous a school is does NOT garantee the quality of the program.
