I haven't read the last chapter, yet, but first I wanted to thank you for finishing the story.

I loved Len's voice here (his cornbread ain't done is my new favorite line) from his self-doubt to his regaining of confidence to his mea culpa to his wearing his heart on his sleeve makes this S/K girl see what others see in K/M. I loved Jim's confessing of Old Spock's mind meld.

The guys say "I love you" in a wondeful way when they finally get around to it.

I don't have words to describe how amazing I think this whole chapter was. I've enjoyed reading the progression of Bones'transformation.

That was a gorgeous way to resolve their friendship and more... the idea of a soulmate as you described it was perfect. Just fucking perfect. :)

i really appreciate what you did here w. Jim referencing the Shat kirk, too often i feel like authors either approach that universe with too little or too much reverence, they'll demonize old spock or they'll browbeat the youngins to fit into what the old universe was and you made that point so eloquently through Jim. The spirit of these people is the same, but there are differences that pile up and change everything around. One doesn't invalidate the other, but there are differences and sometimes it's just that, different. equally good but wholly other.
