When it comes to eternity, of course THE most important question is where we're going!

I loved him on "Barney Miller," and was so pleased to see him again on "Firefly." What a loss, in a year of terrible losses.

I adored him on Barney Miller and Firefly! And on When Things Were Rotten, and every other guest appearance I could scrape up - he was hilarious as a doctor on "Yes, Dear," in an episode where the hero was considering a vasectomy.

Ron Glass's character: "The procedure does entail some discomfort."
Show's star: "And by discomfort, you mean--"
Glass, almost but not quite cutting him off: "Pain."

Just beautifully delivered. As always.

Oh that's perfect.

You're right about his delivery. Some of my favorite lines of his wouldn't have been favorites if I'd merely read the script. His sense of timing and tone transformed them into something unforgettable!

Very sad!

That's wonderful that you had a chance to speak to him in person. I've only heard good things reported from those who met him.
