I'm not in the HP fandom anymore, but when the new Pottermore stuff came out I was so annoyed and frustrated with Rowling all over again, especially given how, if she only HAD done the research, the work would have been SO. MUCH. MORE. interesting. As it is, all of the metas I have seen, especially those by NA fans who know from whence they speak, break my heart both for how JK took his on and for what we could have had.
