Isn't looking for new glasses a trial? I just spent the last several weeks agonizing over making the choice, but fortunately I finally found a pair I loved (after much hand-wringing). I'm glad I only have to go through this once every few years!
but only your charming niece can carry them off! She's a doll!
looking for frames never used to be a pain. So i lay the new pain to one oeither:
Too many choices The aging hobgoblin (which ensures that no glasses, dress or even pair o' p.j.'s will make you happy, since you ain't even looking at them, but at what surrounds them!) General cussedness, which also seems to grow worse with time.
I DO love those glasses on your niece. She is kicky and cool!
Added to these I have a Freakishly Small Head problem. (This is related to my Freakishly Small Hand problem, which ruled out some of the wider smartphones for me. Or perhaps it's more accurate to say I have Freakishly Small problem, full stop.) Several of my older glasses -- and now my new sunglasses -- come from the children's section, because most women's glasses are far too big for my face. This time around I narrowed down a couple of my options only to discover that one pair I liked had a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle on the side, and one had BARBIE written in day-glo pink up and down the earpieces. *sigh*
No one designs things for hobbits these days. *winks*
And thanks - she is kicky and cool! We have a Skype date tomorrow, and I'm looking forward to hearing all of her latest news. She usually sings and dances for me, too, which is all kinds of awesome.
Aw, thank you! She is indeed a brilliant little personality, full of laughter. I'm continually amazed by how much she's changed and grown in between one Skype call and the next. She speaks (and sings!) clearly in long, complete sentences now. You can have a real and delightful conversation with her!

And goodness, she changed from a baby to a little girl seemingly overnight!

It boggles my mind how quickly she's growing up.
