actually was caught in the horrid snarl of LA traffic and got to the venue a mere fifteen minutes before the Toast.....so i only had one B&T, but shared-out the birthday wishes between Virginia and dear JRRT! (you can see pics of the event of Tolkien Forever's Face Book page, if you like!)

Oh, goodness, those outfits! Princess Leia and Sherlock win all. And the bumblebee just kills me! It fits so well with her shape. Hee! She's such a good sport. I can't imagine trying to get my parents' dog (pit bull/lab) into something like that. It could not possibly end well.

LOL! I'm so tickled you like those costumes. She is an amazingly good sport. My parents send me the costumes each year for Halloween (some of which, like the Sherlock Holmes outfit, my mother made by hand), and they always send goodies for Virginia, too, as bribes. As long as she knows she gets a treat after the photo session, she'll wear anything! In fact, in a number of those shots, she's staring fixedly at said treat - hence the concentration, ha!

When she's not dressed up, though, she loves having her photo taken as a matter of course. Once I was trying to take a picture of my own feet (as a friend of mine had made me a fantastic pair of socks), and Virginia insisted on sitting on them. Why would anyone ever get out a camera, if not to take pictures of her? LOL.
