All the Hobbit news from Comic-Con sounds wonderful! It looks like I'll be teaching my Tolkien seminar again for the Spring 2012 semester, and I expect the energy will be terrific

It's strange to see Watson doing something else. ;)
I suppose I will get used to seeing him as Bilbo soon enough. Open, Open, Open...

LOL! I wonder if he has his service sidearm tucked in the back of his hobbit breeches. *wink*

He was my first and only choice for Bilbo, if Ian Holm couldn't do it. (I've been a fan of MF's for a while. And IH is both Bilbo and Frodo to me, thanks to the radio and film adaptations.) From what I've seen thus far in bits and snippets, MF's going to be amazing.

I've seen mostly stills, but yes, a few bits of film, he does indeed look good.
And again, most of the people working on the movie seem to love The Hobbit, so even if we disagree on their interpretation, it will still be a worthwhile film.
