Happy Tuesday!

* The first part of a two-part interview with me is now up here at Darkcargo, in which I talk about science fiction, classic novel/monster mashups, "further adventures of," and other literary subjects. The second half (about genre, Sherlock Holmes, and writing, among other things) will be up on Friday. Darkcargo is a terrific multi- ( Read more... )

Congratulations to your sister.

Thanks for reporting what you're listening to! I love to know what music other people like.

Thanks!

I'm a lifelong Tori Amos fan, and to my mind she's never put out a poor album, but I must say this new Night of Hunters is amazing!

Aww... Cute Virginia. Such a *clever* doggy. :)))

Congrats to the Sis.

I really think there is something really dangerous in the water in California... I'm so glad I escaped. Really super talented people all seem to go completely bat-s*** crazy out there. We can dibble around all day about how much we hate Lucas for the *changes* he feels he has the right to make, but when he crossed over into *eradicating* the old materials, he seriously gave up his rights in this matter. And the audacity to think that this is HIS WORK. I'm not talking about the fans, I'm talking about the thousands of artists and professionals that created that movie. It's NOT his baby anymore.

Excellent point! The thought of all of Frank Oz's work with Yoda, for example, being gone with one wave of the CGI wand... that's such an injustice! AUGH!

Thank you! :) It was a pretty good birthday, and much merriness (along with honey wine and black spiced rum) was had by me.

Virginia's expression matches mine. I would like to be able to encase the original theatrical releases of Star Wars in a format where the fans could still enjoy them--and George Lucas would spontaneously combust if he tried to change them.

Yes! I'd buy that version. ;)
