Excellent article! You really show the similarities between the Star Trek incarnations and the different aspects of Arthuriana. I enjoyed reading it.

You know, I haven't watched the original series since I was a kid. Your article, and the new movie, have inspired me to Netflix it and then NextGen (my fave) again.

I like your icon. "I can do it! I can do it!" LOL.

Oh, thank you for this lovely feedback! I'm so glad you found it to be persuasive and enjoyable. It's a bit outdated now, but my upcoming book chapter includes Enterprise and other updates, so hopefully it seems more contemporary.

Three cheers for Trekking with Netflix! As a matter of fact, I feel some marathon viewing in my future, too...

LOL! That "I can do it! I can do it!" cracked me up. He was so earnest. (And, of course, he could do it!)

Have you ever read Thomas Berger's Arthur Rex? It's not a Roddenberry Universe view of the legend, much darker, but true to the source material.

I haven't - in fact, the majority of my Arthurian reading has been of works that predate the 20th century. I'll definitely add this to my reading list. Thank you so much!
