Words like 'vacation' and 'faked kidnapping' flew through Peter's head as he came into the lobby. Of course, he'd have to wait on the fake one until after he got out of the real one. The one that gave such great importance to words like 'suspects' and 'suicide by cop ( ... )

They'd been kidnapped, and Neal had seen fit to get intoxicated. But apparently, for the time being, that was going to have to be okay.

Even so, she found herself wandering down to the hotel lobby on a whim and stretch her legs a little. There was always the possibility that she might bump into somebody new, someone who didn't know who she was. Someone who could maybe get onto her side.
