What used to be Ashley isn't Ashley anymore. There's now a hulking creature, made almost entirely of ice - teeth, claws, the whole bit. The Wendigo has been, on and off, wandering through the city. Ir was snarling, and hungry, and it only wanted human flesh. El Dorado wasn't exactly safe anymore for people wandering aimlelssly through the night.

Hunting down creatures was one of Helen's specialties. Unfortunately, she was on her own for this endeavor. She had rushed to Cassie's room and knocked loudly on the door until it was opened. Cassie was there, oddly nervous and fidgety, with a man behind her in her room. Helen didn't bother to ask and informed her of the situation before leaving to find the odd creature made of ice that was spotted around the city.

It could have been a new arrival that was frightened and had no idea what to do with their ability.

Ashley, somewhere deeply buried in her subconscious, was aware of the fact that the female approaching her was Helen. It was her mother. But it was so deeply buried, such a tiny whisper, that it didn't even register. The Wendigo turned, seeing the woman as nothing but an adversary and its next form of prey.

It began to stalk up to her, speeding up and moving around her in sporadic movements; it needed to throw her off, otherwise it wouldn't have much of an advantage.

Oh, brilliant, it was hostile. She pulled out her gun and aimed it at the creature, shooting at the ground where it would land. She didn't want to aim for it and possibly hurt it, just immobilize it so it would stop it's rampage.
