When Martha had woke up in her room this morning to find a puppy licking eagerly at her face -- safe to say it wasn't what she expected. The Doctor was walking back to the TARDIS, which he had left in the park next to the duck pond that lacked it's namesake. It had become a bit of a running joke between him, Rose and Amy and Donna. So, why not leave it where everyone could get into it if they needed to? Of course he'd have to limit who had TARDIS keys. Him, Amy and Rory, Donna, Rose, and Jack. Of course the Doctor wasn't even aware Martha was in the city.

He didn't even know there was a Martha Jones that traveled with him in the future. People were a bit vague with the spoilers.

He stopped just shy of the TARDIS and looked over at the sound of a barking puppy.

Martha didn't recognize the Doctor either, so it was completely fair that way. She knew that he was from a previous 'regeneration' as Jack called it, but she hadn't really been thinking to look for him too much. If he was before her time, then she wouldn't mean anything to him, and she wasn't sure if she was ready to deal with that yet ( ... )

The Doctor stopped and looked over at her, glancing between her and the TARDIS. "It's not a real police box. Just made to look like one. You're from the 21st Century, yeah? Means you don't see these at all around London. Makes me wonder how you know it to begin with, but that's a bit easy."

He held out his hand. "'Ello, I'm the Doctor."

She shook his hand with a smile. "Martha Jones." She might have held on to that hand a bit longer than she needed to, because while he wasn't her Doctor, he was still the Doctor, and that was more comforting than it probably should have been. Eventually she did pull her hand back, however, smile still on her face. "Nice to meet you."

Will had come over and was in the process of sniffing the Doctor's shoes, just to try and find out who this person was and why he was talking to Will's human.
