The Doctor had visited Rose once, and checked up on Amy to find her sleeping. He wasn't one that did well by just standing and moping around in public. Rose had been doing a lot of sleeping lately. The hospital still hadn't released her and quite honestly there was only so much staring she could do at the ceiling, walls, bedding, and anything else in the room. So sleep became the better option to pass the time. Well, sleep and talking the ears off of anyone who came to visit.

She was just settling into nap number ... oh she had long since lost count, when she felt like someone was watching her. She turned in her bed so she could better see the door. There was definitely a figure hovering in the shadows like they were debating really entering or not.

"'lo?"

"Rise and shine!" the Doctor said.

He swaggered into the room as if nothing was wrong. Of course, Rose always knew when something was wrong, but he could pretend for everyone that things were fine. Except for the fact they were still stuck in a bloody flying city and two of his companions were hurt. Even if those companions were technically from the future.

"You've got massive bed head."

She rolled her eyes at what he said but inside she was concerned. Something was wrong, though she figured she'd give it a few minutes. See if he let anything slip. She was of course doubtful he would. But she'd figure it out.

"Well I have been in bed. A lot."

"Any news on when you're gettin' out?" he asked as he flopped down in the chair next to the bed.

Amy might have been sleeping the first time the Doctor came around, but she wasn't this time. The ginger could be heard from down the hall (possibly a few floors above and below her).

"Oi, get off me!" She growled at one of the nurses and yanked her arms away. Amy didn't like hospitals; it reminded her of her past and those were things she didn't want to ever share with the Doctor.

"Just you wait! My Doctor won't be happy with any of you when he finds out about this man handlin'." Of course, the threats meant nothing since Amy was still in a wakened state and couldn't fight back like she wanted to. It resulted in her fumbling with things and falling over herself.

There was the mad, impossible Amy Pond! On a perfect road to recovery from what he could tell. He leaned into the doorway, arms crossed, eying the nurse with his eyebrows raised. She ended up scuttling out of the room and the Doctor moved out of the way. He smiled at Amy as he put his hands in his jacket.

"Gingers always bounce right back!"

"It never fails," she said without turning around to look at him, but there was a smile in her voice. "You always show up when someone's talking about you."
