And she was. Five minutes late, but Cassie was there. Her hair was damp, slowly drying. It would certainly explain her lateness. She'd even attempted at dressing somewhat nicely for Dr. Magnus. Button down shirt, black skirt, and her boots. She didn't want to seem like she was trying too hard.
A yawn cracked her jaw a little as she lifted her hand to cover her mouth. "G'morning, Dr. Magnus. What's up?"
Cassie took a bite of her eggs, chewing slowly. "If you need a weapons specialist, I can do that shi- stuff, too. Well, I'm not a specialist, but I know my way around some things," she nodded.
Cassie frowned a little. "He knows about my...nightmares." They weren't just nightmares anymore, but she didn't want to tell Helen that. But with the cocktail of drugs Bruce had arranged for her, they were few and far between.
The nightmares were gone, but she woke up like she had them anyways, heart pounding, eyes brimming with tears. She figured she was still having them, but the drugs stopped her from remembering them.
And the hallucinations during the day...that was another story.
"I am usually up fairly late myself, Cassandra. Mr. Wayne is up most of the night." Helen said softly. "Usually that is because of insomnia, which is caused by various reasons. I'm sorry, it was wrong of me to assume."
"That's for sure," Cassie nodded. "Never figured that would actually be true," she muttered, then took a few more bites of her breakfast.
For just a split second, the scrambled eggs on her plate were a deep red, and appeared to be leaking a viscous fluid. Looking less like eggs, more like brains. Her stomach churned and she looked up for a moment. When she looked back down, they were eggs again.
She noted the double take Cassie did, but said nothing. Nightmares didn't happen just at night; that was when they became hallucinations. But, she wasn't going to press.
Cassie ate a little bit more, avoiding for the eggs for now, still getting an oogy feeling in her stomach for that split-second hallucination. She swallowed and took a sip of her drink.
"So when's the whole...Sanctuary thing going to start?" Cassie asked, looking to the woman across from her.
I'll be there.

She knew that name.
"Bruce Wayne? Tall, kinda broody? Looks like he belongs on the cover of GQ?" She asks, eyes narrowing a little.

"It's okay," Cassie replied, shaking her head. "Just should have expected it, is all."
