Sometimes, I do some really important stuff in a year. Sometimes, not. For instance, when I was 23 we invaded the dogshit out of Iraq. 26 sounds pretty important to me, you hit some major life milestones (purchased home, found exclusive partner) and got back from war overseas. That's a big deal! You deserve the celebration. Good luck for 27 just the same though.
