Well, it's a lovely place, at least what I've seen of it is. We're ruled by a king, who is often assisted by his brother, Prince Justin. And the royal family is supported by many royal witches and wizards.

I used to live in Market Chipping which was a nice, quiet town with all kinds of shops and sights to see.

A king, eh? I remember those days--except it was just Merlin's name on everybody's tongue.

Were your shops different from those here?

Merlin? Was he your king?

Here at Mayfield? Yes and no I suppose. They sold similar things, like flowers, clothes and food. But shops here are so strange, sometimes with odd machines or fashions I've never seen before.

I have visited many different areas and I do not have a place I can currently call home.

No place to call home? None at all?

Affirmative. I spend most of my time at sea.

At sea? Whatever for?

I'm from a place called Japan. Ah...it's not that different from here, except everyone is Japanese and speaks Japanese and follows Japanese customs. There's more technology, and we have tall mountains, and ninjas, and samurais, and maid cafes.

So more machines, like these televisions and telephones?

Yes, exactly. This place is like the past for me, although not too long ago. Only this country is America and mine is Japan, so culturally, it's different.

Oh wow, you live in a kingdom? Like in a story?

I don't know if it is like a story, but yes, I do live in a kingdom.

I take it you do not?

I guess I've only heard about those in stories, then...

Oh, no! I live in a town called Kinkan.

And what is Kinkan like?

Nothing really fancy like kingdoms and stuff but compared to this place, my home is pretty advanced technology wise and pretty much less of a pain to deal with since it can involve leaving a town to another town... or dare I even say to another country.

Eh, nothing too special though. Typical everyday life with everyday problems.

Yes, being unable to move about freely from one place to another is certainly becoming a bother...

So then, are you used to such machines like the television?
