Musical experience

I'm probably going to talk about other things, but I wanted this to start off with what just happened to me today. I understand that this probably won't affect any of you even the least little bit, but I had my brain knocked right out of my skull by a sloppy, poorly-recorded song. I am musically violated. It is inside me. It's like when you get ( Read more... )

I'll admit that I haven't looked at any of the music you linked, but not because I lack an eternal love for you that is much, much more powerful than I either understand or desire. It's just because I'm nursing a story idea based around "Take the Money and Run" and the only way to brew said story is to have that song stuck in your head for about three weeks. Live my life, I dare you!

That said, Dethklok sounds fun! I love Metalocalypse but have not taken it upon myself to look up any of the real music outside of the cartoon. Now I will. Look at you, becoming a little inspiration!

I understand the lack of desire to go check out other people's music. I know many people who will toss a link in your face no matter what you're doing, and won't really think about whether it's something that you'll like. They like it, so why wouldn't you like it? Bastids.

Me, I'm low-pressure. You, of all people, should know that.

And I do live your life. Well, two fifths of it. I still haven't given that back.

You and your French people, Greg. Always something French when we talk to you, isn't it?

That stuff does rock pretty good, though. How are you liking the new Epica stuff? Simone seems a whole lot more comfortable on this one.

I really never thought Simone sounded uncomfortable. Which songs exactly are you talking about? As for the new stuff, it seems much more Metal than their last few albums.

I started thinking about what else to write, and realized that it's gonna end up being bigger than just a comment, so I'll get to work on it and post it in the next couple days.

You know, when I'm done with finals.

Cool, I'm glad at least part of concert was fun, and you could tell everybody about the incompetent opener people. Being excited is fun until you wonder why you were excited in the first place...

I understand your love of Fink much more than you realize.
I have loads of music similar to this song.
It's the strings, dear, they are connected to the very fiber of your being. Your very essence gets rearranged when you hear this music, and this is the same thing I feel with this genre of music.
Music. My drug of choice.
