Saw Captain America: Winter Soldier last week!

IT WAS AMAZING TOTALLY AWESOME. SO MUCH BETTER THAN EXPECTED.

I want to thank the internet for ( mild spoilers )

So, even though the X-Men rights are owned by Fox, because Pietro and Wanda have never technically been X-Men and HAVE technically been Avengers, their rights are apparently trickier? So they're going to be in the MCU in Age of Ultron, but not as mutants, as the result of some kind of Hydra experimentation to give them powers ( ... )

Wait, WHAAAA. That's like...striping them of their identities?? (Actually, if they end up being two Romani kids who were kidnapped for these experiments, I'll cut Marvel lots of slack. Otherwise, they might as well be the cheap knock-offs I joked they must be when I thought Marvel lost the rights: "Peter" and "Wendy.")

Also, while they may never have BEEN X-Men, THEIR DAD IS LIKE THE SECOND MOST IMPORTANT CHARACTER IN THE X-FRANCHISE SO UM. (I also have feelings about DoFP. Feelings that are probably going to be super unpopular. >.>)

I had no idea Brubaker was there! I in fact totally missed him because I am bad at faces and then BAM in the credits. I made fangirl noises.

SAM WILSON NEEDS A MOVIE SERIES AND MAYBE A TV SHOW AND DEFINITELY AN ACTION FIGURE. SAM!! I didn't notice the milk thing until fandom wrote ODES. ODEEES.

Moira is too good for Nick, for serious. Because Nick! Is always lying! (Now I'm all curious about these fics. Because are these movie!Moira and movie!Nick or MCU!Moira and MCU!Nick, about which I know...less

Yeah, idek. To be honest, I've never really cared for Pietro that much and I like Wanda more in theory than in practice in the comics. (I feel like she has so much potential, but is so frequently just used as a deus ex machina or in a coma or whatever. I really liked young!Wanda in the X-Men: First Class comics.) (And not just because those comics made me ship Jean/Wanda SUPER hard.) So we'll see what happens. Both versions of Pietro have RIDICULOUS costumes, so.

My favorite thing anyone has written explaining the Wanda+Pietro rights is this from ComicsAlliance's tongue-in-cheek DoFP trailer review:

Thought I'd let you know that I really enjoyed the movie! Previously I had only seen the Iron Man movies, Avengers, and the Thor movies, so I wasn't really up to date about Captain America. But I enjoyed it nonetheless and have now watched the first movie (and rewatched the Avengers). Currently I would say that Captain America 2 is my favourite Marvel movie so far, closely followed by Iron Man 1. :)

Peggy is getting her own show, and do you watch Agents of SHIELD? The Winter Soldier made it SO MUCH COOLER! I want Black Widow to team up with Melinda May and Maria Hill in a movie.

Odd how there are spoilers just based on how many movies we can expect of people. Let the speculation begin!

I love how Cap is such an inspiration to everyone, in spite of all the crap Hydra pulled and this movie will have MAJOR repercussions in the entire MCU!

As for Pietro and Wanda, they ARE Avengers (going all the way back to the 60's and everything), but they can't use the "M" word, so ya know. You have a point about the existence of mutants, but I think they could've done a great universe that includes the X-Men, Spider-Man, and Fantastic Four.
