If anyone read my last post before I realized what I'd done and fixed it, I meant to say that the recent Suicide Squad is gratuitously violent and gory and I do not recommend it, not Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2. I thought 'James Gunn' and came up with the wrong movie; I do that sometimes.

Hee! Hubby and I watched Black Widow last weekend and both of us were mildly disappointed, alas. Mostly fight scenes and action shots with very little plot or character development. A real pity given the high caliber talent of the cast. Florence Pugh is one of the best scene-stealers I've ever seen! :)

I haven't seen Hamilton, although many friends have and tell me it's good. I'm not much of a musical person--I think the last I saw in person was with you! Les Mis I believe, where our mutual friend went of into ecstasies over the cantilever bridge set design.

I wasn’t totally thrilled about Black Widow though it’s almost like I need to see it again to figure out why I didn’t love it. I was thrilled to see Ray ‘Will Scarlet’ Winstone as the bad guy. I didn’t expect he’d be the one from Robin of Sherwood to really make it.

Hamilton is good but it seems like everyone raves about it and thinks it’s amazing, but I just didn’t love it that much. I don’t really like biopics in general; it always feels like they’re trying to cover too much in a person’s life, so I always feel a bit confused.
