I think that the paint should be all one consistency. It doesn't seem like the paper is strong enough to support both the thin and thick paints, and I rhink you do thick colours very well. Please work more into the page, don't be afraid to waste time and paint!
You don't like the eyes? Those are my favourite bit! I love how it goes very sharply from navy and black to shocking white and the shape is lovely.
The hand is impressive as well. Most of all I like the impressionism of the paint strokes. The spatula was a good move.
Actually, the colours are really good. I wish there was less white on the page so they would jump out at me more.
Wow, the spatular strokes are making want to take a spatula to everything.
Um, I LOVE YOU? THANK YOU. I guess I do like the eyes, but would like them to be just a little bit closer, you know? I'm still learning how to work with acrylics, so the whole 'what paper should I use,' 'what brushes,' etcetera, etcetera is new to me. I wouldn't even have realised if you hadn't pointed it out.
I LOVED WORKING WITH THE SPATULA. It was so refreshing! Very nice. It's a whole different from painting with brushes, too, and the result is very neat.
Now that you point out the whole there-should-be-more-colour-instead-of-so-much-white and I totally coincide! I hadn't realised, but it's very true.
I'm using many 'very's today.
Also, using my heels icons pour toi, mademoiselle.
Perhaps you can't, BUT EVERYHING COMES WITH PRACTICE. Besides, you're such a pro with digital colouring, I'm so jealous. By the way, have you been drawing with your mouse lately? You know, the not having a tablet thing? :/
Yes! I drew this with my mouse yesterday, but it took so long and I'm not satisfied with how stiff it came out. So I wouldn't recommend mouseart at all. But! Hopefully over the weekend or Monday a friend is letting me borrow her tablet til I scrape up some money for a new one! So that's working out :*
The colors of the hand remind me of the colors of the sunrise I see every morning on the way of school and the way the the colors contrast with the bright blue of the lips looks exactly how the sky does when the sun rises enough so that the bright blue and the vibrant shades of fire clash.
So, basically, I quite like the color choices and how she appears to almost be flying into the page, or as if she's simply passing by, and you captured her in a fleeting moment. Hm.
