No more Cancer! (and no more nose)

May 13, 2009 09:18

Yesterday the doc (and the handsome resident tee hee) informed me that the Cancer left town. Yay!

So as weird as this sounds, that was the easy part. At least for me...Ok I think that was the easy part for the doctors too. We all knew this cancer just wanted to destroy tissue but not to threaten anything else- like my life. And it did a good job. ( Read more... )

First of all, AWESOME NEWS THAT THE CANCER IS GONE. *Phew* But you're right, now comes the hard part huh? It still amazes me that they can do this period, but the healing process sounds like a real doozie.

Hmm... staying indoors like a vampire? Sounds like a good time to hunker down and write some books. :)

Good luck with the surgery! It helps that the resident is handsome... :B

First, it's great that you've made it this far and I'm happy the worst it over.
Next part sounds naturally tricky and maybe even a bit complicated. ~hugs~
Whatever happens, I am sure you'll be alright and better off in life~!

Dear Bonnie, I had no idea this was going on! I've been so busy this spring I haven't had much time to read LiveJournal. I just met up with piterburg and his wife for coffee this afternoon and they told me about it! I had to have a little bump on my nose removed last year (a non-malignant growth, they said, like a mole, but clear) and it left me a scar right in the middle of my nose, and there is another one I think I should have them look at. I remember feeling so terrified waiting to hear back from the doctor about what it was, I just can't imagine what you're going through right now.

See if you can find a friend who is willing to wear a band-aid on their nose, too, so you can go out in public together. People will think you're both just being silly, or that you went in for plastic surgery together. You get more funny looks that way, but you don't care, and actually no one will make any stupid comments. Strength in numbers!

Hey Heather,
No worries, you have so much coolness going on! I actually had a friend do that!!! She wore one on her cheek and we went out to eat yummy pancakes!! Thanks for the note!
