I'm so jealous that you are going to the Bahamas. Not least because of the story I'm currently writing that's set there. I've never been. I'm sure I'm getting everything wrong. Say hello to Cat Island for me if you visit. Speaking of which, O Clever Pirate Lady, can you tell me anything about Arthur Catt?

I can take pictures of Random Bahamian scenes and any large black dogs I see ;)

I don't know anything about Arthur Catt though - I'll let you know if I come across anything :V

Thanks, Lady. Google doesn't seem to know anything about him either, apart from the fact that he was a buccaneer in the 17th or 18th century and may have buried treasure on the island. He might have been a "Sir". That's all I can find. Does that give me license to start making stuff up?

Knock yourself out! Well, for the story, anyway ;)

He was definitely early-ish 17th c though - Cat(t) Island had that name by the 1670's at least, as I recall.
