The time is now...

I have nothing interesting to report today. I'm still a little bit sad because of Steve Irwin's death but not as much as I was yesterday or two days ago, so I guess this feeling will pass after some time. I wonder what will my grandmother say. She is not home right now, and we both plus my parents liked him and his wife very much for their love ( Read more... )

Thanks, Poke :) I finally had time to make these Millenium icons, but still I want to make more of them! Only need more time! ;)

*hugs back* Thank you, hon for your words... You know, people in my country usually like to slam everything and everyone, just because (oh, I could explain this with many theories, but it's not the point), but when the news appeared here about his death, most of the comments that appeared online, was good and many, many people were really sad. It's really unusual here.

You're right. Life is too short for such trivial matters like worrying over work too much. *hugs*

*poke giggles* if you want to make more then make more!!

*poke hugs* I know how that is...its easier to be mean than to be nice. He had a great impact on people, it would seem. I have to be honest. I never once watched his show and have only just now been seeing it because of what happened.

*nods* work shouldn't be of paramount importance to our lives, yes, it lets us do other things, but it isn't everything. It shouldn't be - unless you are doing what you love - which I know neither of us are doing.

lol But time! I don't have enough time! *giggles* But talking seriously, I will make more one day ;)

Oh yes, that may be this that it's easier to be mean... But that's not all. Anyway I watched his show very often, and I liked to watch it. He was a little crazy sometimes, but it was so natural, heck, after all it was his passion, his life. I'm crazy too when I'm talking about LoTR or my other favourite things ;)

Unfortunately we're not doing what we love, so true... But it's better to have job, than not have it, so I'm not complaining too much ;)

Hm...I have never heard of Millenium, I have to say, but I watched X Files fanatically a few years back!:)I love the icons!!

I didn't know this man too well-only heard about his death on the news last night-but it's sad when people who care so much for animals go like that!:(He'll be sorely missed!

And I'm glad to hear work didn't stress you too much this month!*cuddles*Deadlines and work aren't worth our stressing too much over them, life is way too short for that!!

It was also Chris Carter's show and I loved it :D I still do :) Glad you like it, mellon nin :)

*nods* Yes, I think he will be. I'm NOT trying to make a hero out of him. I just liked him and the way he worked, with passion. He loved animals. I never watched shows about animals too often, but when I found his show, a couple of years ago, I was fascinated. The passion is like a sparkle! It may turn into great fire :)

*cuddles* So true, dear. So true! *hugs*

What was it about?:D

And yup...I only heard of him on the news and I was fascinated; he loved what he was doing, it was obvious from the clips they showed of him-his show, I guess?-and people like that are invaluable, I think!:)

*cuddles*Nope,stressing is never good!*cuddles more*

It's hard to tell in a few words... The main character was a retired policeman...actually he was a kind of the FBI advisor when we meet him for the first time and he had a gift... He was able to see the past events and the future...but here, the most important aspect of it was, that the "gift" was helping him in solving very difficult cases... but sometimes the cost was too big... There was some amount of gross there, but it served only to show the main character's journey, struggle to stay sane...and protect his family against all the evil he sees and experiences... And then it appeared that his little daughter had that gift too :) But for the main character it was a curse most of the time, not a gift. The second season's end was very sad... But...shhhh, maybe you'll see it one day. ;) It had a great, unique atmosphere :)

*nods*

*cuddles back* :)

These are SO beautiful! 09 and 12 and especially 18 are my favourites. :)

I feel so stupid... I've seen everyone talking about Steve Irwin's death, and I have no idea who he was. :/

Thanks, dear! :)

Why? You're not obligated to know everyone! lol But he was an unique guy :D He really loved animals and you could feel that animals was his (and his wife) passion! :)

So... did he have a TV show or something? What made him so famous?

Yes he had a show. It was called The Crocodile Hunter. But he was talking about various animals. Often the ones that people consider dangerous... to stop the killing of them for skin, money, etc... but that is only a part of the story. Some people didn't like him, because he was very, how to say it, he didn't hide his emotions, when he was talking he was talking with such a passion, that some people felt uncomfortable with it. Called him fool or worse. But I think that he was just natural and honest, driven by his passion. But I think that exactly this behaviour, drew the attention, and many people changed their view about many dangerous animals... They stopped treating them like objects to make money... but like living creatures.
