I'm currently working on my Yuletide letter. (And my lovely Yuletide Writer, if you happen to read this: First of all, hi! Secondly, thank you! and Thirdly, I promise my letter will be up soon.) And I must read The Wind in the Willows. Beautiful children's lit is one of my very favourite things in the world.

Oh, you should! I didn't find it until I was sixteen or so, and then I lamented that it hadn't been part of my childhood upbringing - though perhaps it's one of the books that you don't fully enjoy until later on, anyway. And I agree. I think children's literature is my absolute favorite genre of literature, and you know how much I love books of all kinds. (YA fantasy is my second favorite. Ha! So much for being a sophisticated English major. Though, children's literature - good children's literature - is quite sophisticated, I think. YA fantasy, perhaps not so much.)

Oh, and, I didn't even put in the whole scene where Ratty goes into the Wild Wood to bring Mole home! It's very much a book worth reading.
