I don't want to continue on in last night's angsty vein, but I have nothing cheerful to say. Therefore, go forth and meme.
But first: there was a metafandom post about titles, and it got me thinking, because I do love good titles. So.
ETA: I don't think I put enough space to answer the last question - at least, none of my answers fit. So if you have a last line you really like that doesn't fit, post it in the comments.

1) make a list of fifteen characters first, and keep it to yourself for the moment. (that way you're not leading the questions asked to fit the characters.)
2) ask your flist to post questions in the comments.
for example:
'one, nine and fifteen are chosen by a prophecy to save the world from four. do they succeed?'
'under what circumstances might five and nine fall in love?'
'which character on the list would you most want on your side in a zombie invasion?'
'six and three are in a buddy movie. who is in charge, and who likes to blow things up?'
3) after your flist has asked enough questions, round them up and answer them using the fifteen characters you selected beforehand, then post them.
I have arbitrarily made characters 1-8 male, and 9-15 female, so you can take that into advisement as you wish.
