Last Monday i made a highly satisfactory loaf of buckwheat blender bread. I added rehydrated and blended dried figs from 2022 as part of the liquid, that worked fairly well but the previous loaf with chunks of dried figs and dates held promise

That does sound like some sad work. Or poignant work. I've got Toby going through some boxes of old work materials from our attic and to my surprise, he finds it not too sad (ah the best years of my life etc) but sort of gratifying (what a great lot I was involved in etc). I was ready for it to be either very difficult and slow, or depressing, but not so far.
