As for shoes, I feel ya. I have a very long, very bony, size 11N foot and almost any heel at all will cause me to lose my balance, or slide forward in the shoe, or my heel will continuously pull out of the heel cup so I have to stop and settle it back in lest I leave it completely behind like Cinderella.
I have seen, however, a kind of insole cushion that is shaped like a rounded triangle and you stick it inside the shoe under the ball of your foot, mostly for cushioning, but also to prevent slipping - like this thing.
