Nicely done! I especially liked the view into River's past - it isn't often we get to see her as a child behaving like a child. And the way it parallels the here and now, with "cold hands, warm heart" seeming to be the code for forbidden/frowned-upon action was very nice.

Very nice. No, really, I loved it. So sweet. And yes, I did catch the connection between the maxim and the forbidden nature of her activities.

Loved the kiss justification and that he kissed her back... beautiful.
