You may very well think that...

I just finished watching the first four episodes of House of Cards, a BBC show from the 90's that's essentially RIII* in Parliament. They even make references. Lots of them. It's SO INCREDIBLY GOOD, and I need to write more about it when I'm not falling asleep. But seriously. Ian Richardson is gold, and like eighteen times better than he was as ( Read more... )

Heee! It was SO GOOD XD It wasn't Ginger Rogers - I know who she is XD It was a fictional character, I think. Possibly based on Ginger Rogers!

That icon only gets better! My generally overactive imagination is not up to the monumental challenge it proposes...

Waahahaha! And compared to the other people I ship, there's little left up to the imagination in this show. Starsky has goosed Hutch a total of, I believe, three times so far in something like thirty episodes. This episode was particularly good:

Hutch: *as Texan* I can't believe my luck! Somebody pinch me!
Starsky: *behind him, sly look*
Hutch: *jumps* O_O!!!

Yay! I love House of Cards! So good. And I probably use "You may very well think so. I couldn't possibly comment" more than any other quote.

I keep saying that to caitirin now XD She's probably getting really sick of it. I LOVE the show, though! I can't wait to see more. I have all the DVDs at home right now from NetFlix, and I thought they were all one season, but it turns out they're the whole series! Yay!

So first I thoung, evil characters? I thought richard III's parliament was supposed to be the most enlightened for centuries, like guaranteeing trials before convctions and stuff.

And then I read a little further and thought Richard II's parliament has a Texan in it, and Argentinian dancer with a Spanish name - in like 1360? What universe is this?

And then I thought, whatever universe it is, it's clearly AWESOME, just go with it!

That icon is the most adorable ting I've seen in a long time. Yay!

Also by the way, I just heard there's a version of Pirates of Penzance with Angela Lansbury and Kevin Kline in it, and it makes me hapy just knowing the worl has things like these in it. *hug*

Hee! That sounds like an awesome universe XD The House of Cards stuff is based on Shakespeare's Richard III, which I've been told by brilliant historicist friends is very historically inaccurate. But awesome nonetheless XD

I think I've seen clips of Kevin Kline in Pirates of Penzance, but I didn't know Angela Landsbury was in it! That HAS to be good.
