After a poorly thought-out and hastily cobbled-together presentation to my lab on the state of my research, my Tuesday night devolved into something having to do with beer, single-malt, and Jäger, and then skewering my housemate about whether the chick he is banging is really just a fuck-buddy or not

I had one of my students tear me a new one in my evals...despite most of them being cool. It wasn't fun. I think teaching requires balls of steel...so I am currently having mine coated. :P

Yeah, it's early in the quarter so hopefully they will have forgotten about it by then, and hopefully I won't make a habit of saying shit wrong.
