This is a very nice piece, exactly satisfying in all the ways a medical h/c should be. Especially like the turnaround from humor to drama in a split second--pretty much how it would be in real life. Very lovely!

The snippets of Sam's life interspersed with the events--and later the terror--of what was going on in the present was very effective.
And all from having his wisdom teeth pulled.
