I loved the Tide Lords, and I agree, that ending irked me to no end. And to make it worse, there isn't even any fanfiction!! I haven't read the Second Sons yet, I'm having enough trouble getting the library to find Treason Keep and Harshini so I can finish that trilogy. Hell, once I found out that only two of the Tide Lords books were released in Canada, and bought the last two from Australia!

You should definitely read Second Sons - that's probably my favourite trilogy from Jennifer Fallon. I've read both the Hythrun Chronicles and Demon Child too, but I guess it helps that I actually live in Australia!
The ending - well, I started reviewing Tide Lords but I haven't posted it up yet since I couldn't quite figure out what I wanted to say about the ending - just...leaves me hanging. It's not even the whole Arkady bit, but the entire fate of Amyrantha as well.
And yes, no fanfiction!
