Today was the first day back after spring break. It was a pretty good day (besides the part where I learned that I will be proctoring for state testing for four days), but I'm pretty exhausted, so here's a lullaby for all of us:

The Sciences Sing a Lullaby

Oh, that's *wonderful*! "Of course / you're tired. Every atom in you / has been dancing the shimmy in silver shoes / nonstop from mitosis to now" and "You aren't alone. All of the continents used to be / one body. You aren't alone" and I'd better stop before I requote the whole thing! :)

Ah, state testing. We just finished the first set of MCAS (ELA), which, luckily, I was *not* asked to proctor, but I'm sure I won't be so fortunate for the math round. Sigh.

^_^ Albert Goldbraith is one of my absolute favourite poets ever! I love the "You aren't alone" bit too.

Blah, testing. The good news for me is that I'm proctoring for 2nd grade, which should be over relatively fast. Good luck with your own testing - I hope you end up not having to proctor!
