Happy Turkey Day to all Stateside on my flist! This has been a rather a tumultuous fall for me, and I have not been keeping up with either DW or LJ very well. In the last few months, I have: had a very rough start to the year, behavior and evaluation wise, broken up with my girlfriend of two years (a mutual decision, but still sad), been very ( Read more... )

Lovely to hear from you, even if all the news isn't good. Hope things calm down...

I'm still working on the thesis (submission looming in January) and that's about it really. Oh, got some poetry published so that's yay!

Thanks for the good wishes! Yay for thesis getting done and poetry published (I really ought to look into getting some of mine submitted to places) - I quite like your poetry!

How's teaching going, or should I not ask? *g*

I have a feeling that I owe you a card or too, so please sign up for one when I do my holiday card post sometime this weekend!

Thanks! I'm on my third sinus infection so far this year, but it seems to be responding to the antibiotics nicely. (It's the little things, you know.)

How's subbing and life going for you?

On one hand, I'm broke. On the other hand, I don't hate my job with a passion, nor do I have to write lesson plans. It balances. Subbing is the best professional development ever: seeing different grades, schools, classrooms, and methods has been quite eye-opening.
