Sigh. I forgot until last night that I intended to send my sister a first mother's day gift, and last night was obviously too late to send anything. I decided to stay up until 6 a.m., which led to not getting up til noon, and only then did I have the bright idea to send her flowers. So I picked this really pretty arrangement with purple and yellow ( Read more... )

I think you're on to something here. There very well may be an evil scheme happening.
But whatever happened to the saying "It's the thought that count"? I mean, at least you sent something, right? And, I don't know, you guys are good sisters; don't stress the small stuff.

And yes, "overgrown college freshmen" fits almost perfectly, except we're not at the date rape stage yet. Whatever that means. Staying up makes me feel unhealthy and lame. And yet I love it. Vicious!

Is this an example of the profoundness that I am not currently privy too? ;-)

Your request has been noted, but I am not yet convinced!

i'm decidedly against people being secretly against my freshman ways. i got told today that the things i do sometimes and the way i act are very high school (as far as my too stupid to live, bar-type ways) and i resent it because i like it and it makes ME happy. and everyone has fun doing it, so i don't see the point in caring if it's too freshman or high school of us when we're grown up all other times, why can't we still be young in some ways? i for one vote on staying young as long as possible. YOU are welcome to grow up as quickly as you wish. where i would like to live in neverland forever. ;)

Hehe. Okay, I wasn't putting us DOWN for being college freshmen. You are, indeed, a few years younger, and you are entitled to your good times!

as opposed to you, who is ONLY like 2/3 years older? and therefore is SUCH my elder that you aren't entitled to good times? because i'm just going to say it, being mid twenties does NOT make you old. and there are people. adults, even, who are much older than you that do crazy things like stay up super late on the weekends. sometimes it's easier just to enjoy it. unless you don't. and then you're just a secret (not-so-secret) old woman at heart. but I believe you at least sometimes enjoy it, i've SEEN you shake your ass like no other after a fiew .. .cocktails. ;)
