Meanie judge here! It could have been solved by turning over ownership of the green amber. But nooooo. You just had to slap our hands as we reached for our gifties. You're just lucky I held it to a -1 !!!! ;-)
As far as head coverings go, so far as I have been able to determine, it was something that was done after conversion to Christianity. The early Church felt that a woman's tresses were too much of a temptation to leave them undone and uncovered - hence the veils that show up in later periods.
As I am portraying a pre-conversion, pagan Pict, I am not going to worry about a head covering - unless it's raining. ;) :p
Ooh, and of course, my icon shows me with my hair covered. :p I was experimenting. Keeping my hair out of the way while working is important. Nothing worse than having your beautiful long hair caught on fire because it decides to swing forward while you're putting more wood on the fire.
Dunno. I'd love to have an answer for you, but the best I can do is say that women are often depicted with a shawl - presumably that could be thrown over the head as needed, but I have no evidence for that or any other head covering on secular Pictish women.
I'd love a description for each of the teams that splits up the "pre-purchased" versus "done on site" ... I haven't fully been able to wrap my brain around what people have been doing. And I'm sorely tempted to fly in from Caid and be part of a team some day! :)
