[Screened away from the Joker (Original)]

Everyone needs to calm down. Vigilante action will get us nowhere. What we need is an orderly and methodical search. Panicking will only give him what he wants - our reactions.

Now, I realize that some of you would like to kill him outright. I agree - what he did was disgusting. But justice - [very very ( Read more... )

I agree. An angry mob won't accomplish anything. However, I'm not against trying to find him.

I'm not, either, I just don't want this to devolve into an angry mob, ja?

Neither do I. An angry mob might just make him harder to find.

But how are we going to get everyone to remain calm? It doesn't seem like the thought has even crossed their minds.

Usually music soothes the savage beast, but I don't think that's going to work this time. I suppose all we can do right now is work on an individual basis, ja?

I'm with you on that. I'm putting together a search team to try and find him---ONLY a search team, for the moment. We won't fight unless we have to.

Mm. Let me know if you find him, ja? And any evidence you might collect.

Will do. And I'm trained enough to know that I'm NOT trained to collect evidence, so we'll leave it alone as much as possible.

Fortunately, I am. As is someone I live with.

[It's...pretty obvious that she's forcing herself to remain calm right now.]

I'm not about to deny that - but where, exactly, are the police to deliver this justice? Why isn't the Chief of Police even saying anything about it?

... I don't know. I need to discuss things with them as well. I should have done that a long time ago.

Sounds like a good idea to me.

This is definitely not the type of guy we need vigilantes running after.

Since the city doesn't seem to care very much, looks like it's up to us. Any ideas, Prosecutor Gavin?

No, it's not.

Organize a search party. Calm down the more violent reactions. Figure out who and what we have available. And move quickly to capture him without killing him, with the least amount of harm to all parties.

Sounds like a good place to start.

Now, for the hard part: getting all the trigger happy people here to back off before round two starts prematurely.

I thought so, too.

That's the biggest problem right now, ja.

I agree that an orderly search is needed. The question is, whether you know how to organize one. This monster must either be caught and brought to justice... or he must be killed.

Of course I do. This was part of my job back home, after all.

Please let me know when you get one organized. I will be happy to help.

Will do. May I have your name? I am Klavier Gavin.
