My art for the 2013 startrekbigbang story "Turning Hours Into Centuries" by noxiouscherriesI actually have two versions of 'Up in the Clouds' because the mediums in the piece look different depending on what technology I used to capture the art, scanner vs camera w/ flash (though in RL it really doesn't quite look like either of these ( Read more... )

These are beautiful! I love the detail in the clouds and the shimmer that is visible in the second picture.

Thank you! I was worried that I was deviating too far from the original depiction of the clouds, but then I decided that a certain amount of artistic license is allowed. Which is why my clouds are red tipped and glittery. XD

Yay! Lovely, lovely--I love the colors and the cloudy (?) swirls on the bottom. As always, I love how you vary your mediums and experiment and I especially liked the use of metallic markers/gouache--classic Trek and glittery awesomeness FTW :)

(I hope you crosspost this to the KS comm so more people can see your awesome art :)

Thank you!! ♥
Yep, those are cloudy swirls, I took a lot of artistic license with them. All clouds should be red tipped and shiny!
I love playing with different mediums for different projects. Keeps me entertained!
AOS can always use a touch of TOS kitch. And glitter seems to be the best solution. Though I wouldn't say no to some blue eyeshadow ...

(That's a good idea! I'll probably do a combo post that includes my ksbb art too.)

I really do love this, especially the second one. I don't know a thing about art but it's so pretty. ;u; The colors and the shadows look lovely, and I really like how the clouds turned out.

You are awesome! \o/

First of all thank you for writing the inspiration!

Lol, no worries about understanding art. Though I'm so happy to hear you like this! Hee, I like the second one a little bit more just because of the glitter. XD

These are very lovely! Nicely done and beautiful. I love how you used traditional means to create the work and I love the shading of their trousers and uniforms especially. And these are well drawn. And I especially love Jim's hair and their likenesses.

I'm a big fan of traditional mediums, mainly because I like that they're tangible. I'm a big fan of their clothes too!
Thank you so much for taking the time to comment!!
