What kind of dirt do we have on Buffy?

I've been wondering this for a while, and it may or may not be research for a crossover fic, but what kind of dirt would Veronica Mars, amateur PI, be able to dig up on the Scoobies by early season 5? With the kind of resources we saw Veronica has on the show, what would end up as point of record, and what would be glossed over by Sunnydale's local ( Read more... )

tv: veronica mars, char: buffy summers

Buffy's burned down the Hemery High School gym. She's got a serious record of violence and detention. She was wanted for murder until the charges were dropped. There might be some locals who remember her firing a rocket launcher in a mall. :D ( ... )

She performed well on her SATs, but had mediocre grades.

You know, I never did like that they did that. I could believe Cordelia did very well on the SATs but not Buffy. I'm not saying she was stupid but she was too busy & too distracted most of the time to really absorb whatever she did manage to learn.

It didn't bother me actually. SATs don't measure how much you know, they measure how well you can take the test.

I did really well the first time around, then took a class that taught you tricks (e.g. you don't have to read the passages for reading comprehension... AT ALL) and I got a perfect verbal.

So it's easy enough to not do well in school because you don't actually know the info, but then to do well on the SATs. Plus you later see Buffy doing incredibly well in her Psychology class. I think it's that she's always been smart, but plays the blonde quite a bit because well... girls can't be popular and be smart, now can they? :-/

Her not being great at French is kinda a whole 'nother skillset than her doing well on a standardized test. As for the math, I could see her doing okay--like maybe a 600, then doing much better on the verbal.

Hmmm. Food for thought.

Personally, I hated tests. Of any kind, LOL.

Given the governmental involvement in season 4, they could have ended up sealing a lot of her records...

Right, the records might not be easily accessed. But V could still talk to people in town who'd know the rumors about her record.

She was put into a mental institution by her parents, gave some loudly parties and hook up on stealing with another girl currently in jail for murder.

She was brought in for questioning in Ted's "death", and was a suspect in Kendra's murder, but I don't know that there was ever an investigation when she shivved Faith. Which is odd, as the Mayor had all the evidence he needed to put her away legally. I guess he had other things on his mind.

OH! And her first college roommate disappeared mysteriously. I guess that happened a lot, though.

I wonder what kind of dirt she could find on Giles. He must have gotten into some legal problems as well as dark magic problems. Of course, that would take some digging since it happened in another country.
